Jamie Lynn Spears Announces Engagement on Twitter
The singer-actress shares an Instagram photo of herself and fiance Jamie Watson with her new ring.
Jamie Lynn Spears announced her engagement Saturday night on Twitter.
"Guesssss what??????" the 21-year-old singer-actress tweeted along with an Instagram photo of her with her new fiance, Jamie Watson.
She followed that up with another Instagram photo, an up-close shot of the ring, with the message: ":) #hedidgood"
Spears has been dating Watson, 30, for three years. This will be her first marriage, though she was previously engaged to Casey Aldridge, the father of her 4-year-old daughter, Maddie. They broke up in 2010.
Spears is known for her role in Nickelodeon's Zoey 101, which ran from 2005-08. More recently, she was working on launching a country music career.
Her engagement comes only two months after her older sister, Britney Spears, broke off her engagement to agent Jason Trawick.
