Jane Birkin's Granddaughter Is a Model Now
She posed alongside mama Charlotte Gainsbourg for her high-fashion debut.
There's something about Jane Birkin's genes and that "It"-girl factor. First the British beauty captured the world's attention in the '70s (it takes quite a special lady to get a bag named after herself, after all), then two of her daughters, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon, stole the scene, with each of them securing successful modeling and acting careers. (Birkin's eldest daughter, Kate Barry, took a position behind the lens, shooting fashion photos for the likes of Vogue). And now, Birkin's granddaughter Alice Attal is stepping up to take her turn in the spotlight.

Gainsbourg and her 12-year-old daughter posed for French label Comptoir des Cotonniers for the brand's fall campaign, shot in their native Paris by Alasdair McLellan. The black-and-white photos showcase the strong mother-daughter resemblance (hello, eyebrows) for the minimalist brand's 20th anniversary collection — featuring "It"-girl must-haves like denim and leather jackets.
Birkin's brood certainly isn't the only famous family we've been seeing around the industry lately. Fashion's favorite families have been fronting fall shoots for the likes of Balmain (which featured the Jenners, the Hadids and the Smalls) and CR Fashion Book (starring Cindy Crawford's attractive kids), while celebrity progeny from David and Victoria Beckham's bunch to Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis' daughter, Lily-Rose Depp — and even 50 Cent's son — also have been putting their genes to good use in front of the camera.
Guess it pays to have famous parents. (But we knew that already.)
