Janet McTeer Joins 'Fathers and Daughters' (Exclusive)

Janet McTeer has been cast in Fathers and Daughters, the drama starring Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried.

Directed by Gabriele Muccino, the story centers on a woman dealing with a crumbling relationship in the present and looking back on the relationship she had with her father, a famous novelist, 25 years earlier. The film's cast also includes Aaron Paul, Quvenzhane Wallis, Diane Kruger and Octavia Spencer.

Voltage Pictures is financing, and Craig J. Flores and Nicolas Chartier of Voltage and Sherryl Clark of Busted Shark are producing. Brad Desch wrote the original script, which was on the Black List.

McTeer, a two-time Oscar nominee (Tumbleweed and Albert Nobbs), was recently cast in Vince Gilligan and David Shore's Battle Creek series for CBS. She received her fourth Golden Globe nomination in 2014 for The White Queen, and can next be seen in Hugo Blick's The Honourable Woman on BBC. She's repped by The Schiff Company and the Curtis Brown Group in the U.K.
