Jason Clarke joins CBS' legal drama pilot

Actor will lead project's ensemble cast

Jason Clarke is set to lead the ensemble of CBS' U.S. Attorney drama pilot.

Additionally, Jonathan Sadowski, Kevin Simpson, Noureen Dewulf and Ricky Mabe have landed leads on Fox's comedy pilot "Two Dollar Beer," while Nick Bishop, Kelli Giddish and Ravi Patel have been cast in Fox's reincarnation drama pilot.

The legal project, from CBS Par, revolves around a team of federal prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney's office in Manhattan.

Clarke will play the powerful, charismatic section chief who oversees four lawyers and a handful of paralegals in their overlapping cases.

Aussie Clarke, repped by UTA and Robert Stein Management, most recently starred on Showtime's critically praised drama "Brotherhood" and next will appear in "Public Enemies."

"Beer," from 20th TV and 3 Arts, revolves around a group of twentysomethings who drink beer and discuss their woes.

Sadowski will play the male lead Luke, a handsome ex-high school jock who thinks too much. Simpson will play Mitchell, the world's grouchiest guy.

Dewulf will play Mitchell's wife Fakhri, a nurse. Mabe will play Burt, who is a bit off.

The WBTV-produced reincarnation project revolves around past-life investigators.

Bishop will play a recently fired top homicide detective struggling with the death of his wife. Giddish will play a Ph.D. in psychology and cognitive research who believes in reincarnation. Patel, repped by TalentWorks and Seven Summits, will play an eccentric therapist.
