Jason Wu to Design Line for Target (Video)

Wu’s handbag and women’s wear line will be available in stores beginning Feb. 5, 2012.
Hot off the heels of its hot-selling collaboration with Missoni, Target has announced the next designer it will collaborate with: Jason Wu.
The line will be available Feb. 5, 2012. It will include handbags in addition to women's wear.

Tweeted the discount brand Monday: "The cat’s out of the bag! Meet the talent behind our newest #TargetDesigner collaboration: tgt.bz/6012RVeg."
Wu -- a favorite of first lady Michelle Obama -- Tweeted: "@MissWu_NY: So excited to unveil our latest collaboration- Jason Wu for Target, the Ltd Edition collection will be avail on 2/5/12!"

Target teased the news on Twitter Sunday night, posting hints like, "#TargetDesigner Clue 6 : “If I wasn’t a designer, I would be a pastry chef.” instagr.am/p/O-0ws/" and "#TargetDesigner Clue 5: Senior year of high school in #Paris? Oui, oui. Our next designer has international influence."
Missoni's launch crashed the Target website, leading to shopper ire.
