Jay D. Roth to Be Honored With DGA Presidents Award
Roth has acted as the DGA's national executive director for the past 22 years.
The DGA’s longtime national executive director Jay D. Roth will receive the DGA Presidents Award.
The honor has only been given three other times and is decided by a unanimous vote of the sitting and former DGA presidents. The award is given to an individual whose efforts have aided both the Guild and the industry.
Roth has acted as the Guild's exec director for the past 22 years.
The announcement was made Monday by DGA president Paris Barclay, who said in a statement, "[I]n Jay Roth, we have a kindred spirit whose brilliant mind and incredible accomplishments, including our groundbreaking recent negotiations, have forged a deep footprint — a legacy which has advanced both this Guild and our industry."
Roth will be honored Feb. 4 at the 69th annual DGA Awards, to be held at the Beverly Hilton.
