He is recording an as-yet-untitled album with producer T-Bone Burnett, whom he first met on the set of 1980's Heaven’s Gate.
Actor Jeff Bridges will record a solo album for the Blue Note Records division of EMI, the label said Tuesday.
According to the statement, he “will contribute several of his own compositions” and perform songs by Stephen Bruton and John Goodwin, Greg Brown, Bo Ramsey, Tom Waits and others. Bridges, who won a Best Actor Academy Award for playing a washed up country singer in 2009's Crazy Heart, is recording the as-yet-untitled album with producer T-Bone Burnett, whom he first met on the set of 1980's Heaven’s Gate. Burnett selected songs for the Big Lebowski soundtrack and co-wrote tunes for Crazy Heart, including the Oscar-nominated track “The Weary Kind.” The album is due in late summer.THR's Daily Must Feeds
