The film, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Mickey Rourke, will be released in the fall.
Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired all U.S. rights to the action-thriller The Courier, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Mickey Rourke, Josie Ho, Til Schweiger and Lili Taylor.
Produced by Gary Hamilton and Mike Gabrawy, Courier was directed by Hany Abu-Assad. It concerns a specialist courier hired to deliver a mysterious case to the dangerous, underworld hit man.
Well Go plans to release the film in the fall. While the company is primarily known as a distributor of Asian films in North America, its president Doris Pfardrescher said, “We are committed to acquiring and distributing more U.S.-made English language films.”
Rourke, Ho, Taylor and 852 Films are all represented by ICM. Arclight Films is handling foreign sales.
