Jeffrey Katzenberg's Earnings Jump to $13.5 Million for 2013
The DreamWorks Animation CEO had made $5.2 million a year earlier.
Jeffrey Katzenberg earned $13.5 million in 2013 as CEO of DreamWorks Animation, up from $5.2 million a year earlier, the company revealed in a regulatory filing Monday.
In 2013, shares of DreamWorks Animation advanced 114 percent while Katzenberg's compensation was up 160 percent. The CEO's stock awards, though, stayed unchanged year over year at $4.5 million.
Meanwhile, his base salary shot up to $2.5 million in 2013 from $365,386 the year before, and in 2011 Katzenberg received only $1 in salary.
The biggest difference in year-over-year compensation, though, was because Katzenberg earned $6 million through a non-equity incentive plan in 2013 compared to zero the year prior.
Lewis Coleman, the president and CFO, was paid $3.1 million in 2013, down from $3.2 million, according to Monday's filing.
Ann Daly, the COO, made $8 million, up from $4.6 million.
Michael Francis, the chief global brand officer, was paid $6.3 million, up from $2.3 million.
Andrew Chang, the general counsel and corporate secretary, made $1.4 million, up from $900,000.
Anne Globe, the former chief marketing officer, made $1.4 million in 2013, down from $2.8 million. Globe resigned Aug. 5, 2013.
