Jennifer Beals lands role in Fox drama
John Larroquette, Keith David also cast in pilots
Jennifer Beals has been tapped as the female lead opposite Jason Clarke in "Ride-along," Shawn Ryan's drama pilot for Fox, and John Larroquette is set to co-star opposite Jason Isaacs on another Fox drama pilot, "Pleading Guilty."
Meanwhile, Keith David has landed a lead opposite David Lyons on the NBC drama pilot "The Cape."
"Ride-Along" revolves around on a rogue cowboy cop (Clarke) and Chicago's first female police chief (Beals) who vow to clean up the streets. "The L Word" alumna Beals recently recurred on another Fox/20th TV drama, "Lie to Me." Her casting on "Ride-Along" comes a week after she signed with Paradigm. She also is with Greenlight Management.
A legal thriller based on Scott Turow's book, "Guilty" chronicles the embezzlement, bookmaking, offshore banking and the politics of a high-powered law firm. Its centers on Mack (Isaacs), a cop-turned-attorney at the firm.
Larroquette, repped by ICM and Brillstein Entertainment, will play the patrician managing partner of the firm who recruited him. "Guilty" marks Larroquette's return to the legal-drama beat following his recent regular role on "Boston Legal," where he also played a senior partner at a top law firm. He also won an Emmy for his guest role on "The Practice" and four Emmys for playing an ADA on the sitcom "Night Court."

"Cape" centers on Vince (Lyons), a cop framed for murder who becomes a masked hero, the Cape, to clear his name. David, repped by Stone Manners Salners and Silvermine, will play a rogue criminal showman who becomes Vince's mentor. He will appears in "Death at a Funeral."
