Jennifer Lopez Clarifies Her Emotional Concert Moment
Jennifer Lopez isn't a triple threat (singer/actress/designer) for nothing.
The musician, who was performing at a concert in the Montville, Conn.'s Mohegan Sun casino Saturday, used a bit of her acting skills to move the crowd.
"You want to talk about love? I can talk about love. Oh, the stories!" the American Idol judge said, referencing ex-boyfriend Diddy, former fiance Ben Affleck and soon-to-be ex-husband Marc Anthony, before singing her hit "If You Had My Love" to the crowd.
She then transitioned into her new number, "One Love," and after, the star appeared to get a little misty eyed, calling the performance "a little trip down memory lane," before pausing to look down, and seeming to tear up, which caused the audience to give her a standing ovation.
But, the waterworks, weren't all natural Lopez has revealed.
“After I sang the song, I’m standing there, and I realized that I did bare a little bit of my thoughts in this song," she told Access Hollywood, but admitted, "I also acted it out, kind of, for the audience. The way they received it was very touching.”
Not that the simulated emotions weren't completely fake. “I think that they felt what I felt, which is, you know, I’m just a girl, just like everybody else, trying to find my way,” said Lopez, who split with Anthony in July. “I felt like they got that, and they understood it, and we were all like one at that moment.”
