Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony to Appear at Univision's TCA Breakfast on Saturday (Exclusive)
The Latin superstars and divorcing couple will present "Q'Viva: The Chosen" to the press with a performance they produced along with series co-mentor Jamie King.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony will take the stage together this coming weekend.
The two Latin superstars, who in July announced they were divorcing, are bringing their Q’Viva The Chosen talent show to Saturday morning’s Univision session of the Television Critics Association winter press tour by way of a special performance, which they have produced along with choreographer and series co-mentor Jamie King. The show is filming this week in Los Angeles.
Premiering January 28 at 7 p.m. on the leading Spanish-language network Univision, Q’Viva, which is described in a Jan. 11 press release as a “ground-breaking transcontinental docu-journey,” takes the trio to countries all over Latin America, where they searched for the best untapped talent to bring back to the U.S. for a chance to perform on “a spectacular live special.”
A two-minutes and 40 seconds-long trailer shows Lopez and Anthony observing and sometimes grooving along to performances on the street. “Doesn’t it bring tears to your eyes and make you wanna dance and smile and jump and stay up all night?” asks Lopez in the video. Adds Anthony: “We’re not holding auditions, we’re literally being guided by the people.”

An online media campaign with YouTube and Facebook will also be integrated along with a sponsorship by Blackberry.
The Jan. 14 breakfast session (scheduled for 7:15 a.m. at the Georgian Ballroom) marks Lopez’s second appearance at Pasadena’s Langham Huntington Hotel this week. On Jan. 8, she joined American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler for the Fox panel, where she was asked about Q’Viva and how she’s handling the time commitment required for both shows. “It’s worked out well,” said Lopez. “I’m producing Q’Viva so I have a little bit more leeway on when I do things… and now that we’re more into the live part of Idol coming up, we’ll have time to work on both.”
Lopez, Anthony and King are all co-creators and executive producers on the show along with XIX Entertainment's Simon Fuller.
