Jennifer Todd has been named president of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's production company Pearl Street Films.
Todd comes to the Warner Bros.-based Pearl Street from the Mark Gordon Co., where she served as president of film. She produced the recent Sony Pictures Classics release Celeste and Jesse Forever.
"We have enormous respect for Jennifer and look forward to working with her,” Affleck and Damon said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “She is great at producing and developing material, and we believe that with her we can take the company to the next level.”
Pearl Street has several projects in development, including a film based on Boston organized crime figure Whitey Bulger. Affleck is attached to direct, with Damon starring as Bulger. Damon also co-wrote (with John Krasinski) and stars in the Gus van Sant-directed drama Promised Land, a Pearl Street project that Focus Features will release in December.
Chay Carter and Drew Vinton will continue to serve in their executive posts at Pearl Street.
Affleck's next film, Argo, is set to be released Oct. 12 by Warners. He's directing, producing and starring in the fact-based drama about a rescue mission during the Iran hostage crisis.
Todd is a veteran producer. She and her sister, Suzanne, partnered on the Team Todd banner, and their credits include Alice in Wonderland, Across the Universe, Memento and the Austin Powers trilogy.
