Jeremy Scott Doc Trailer Debuts (Exclusive)
Get an insider's look at the life and work of Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus' go-to designer in the new documentary about him, 'Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer.'
There are a few things we know about Jeremy Scott: He's arguably music's most wanted designer; he throws the best Coachella parties; and he has a knack for creating some of the most buzzed-about pieces ever (see: Katy Perry's Super Bowl costumes and Miley Cyrus' heart-print Moschino gown). But now, we'll be able to get to know him on a more personal level in the upcoming documentary Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer, out on Sept. 18 — just a day after New York Fashion Week spring / summer 2016 wraps up.

Debuting exclusively on Pret-a-Reporter, the film's trailer takes us inside Scott's private world — from visiting his childhood hometown in rural Missouri to taking the helm as the creative director of Moschino and presenting his first-ever collection for the Italian fashion house.
"As a kid, on a farm, in a small town, looking at magazines and seeing high fashion and wanting to be a part of it so badly, I didn't realize the runways were fake and that TV wasn't real," says Scott via voiceover. He continues, "I don't want to be seen as a facsimile of someone else."

Directed by Vlad Yudin, produced by Yudin and Edwin Mejia of The Vladar Company and executive produced by Matt Kapp (Valentino: The Last Emperor), the film also features interviews with the designer's famous close pals including Perry (the current face of Moschino), Rita Ora, ASAP Rocky and Cyrus. Says Cyrus of Scott's work: "His clothes kind of represent people being expressive and forward and fully free. And it's kind of empowering, in a way."
