'Jerry Springer' Producer Arrested for Murder
Jill Blackstone, a longtime 'Divorce Court' executive producer, has been released after the DA declined to file charges.
Television producer Jill Blackstone was arrested in a Los Angeles murder investigation, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Blackstone was taken into custody on Saturday. She has since been released, as the District Attorney has dropped the charges against her.
LAPD officer Drake Madison told THR that the investigation is currently ongoing and that he was not aware of Blackstone's relation to the alleged victim. TMZ reports that the alleged victim is Jill's sister, Wendy Blackstone.
Jill has spent numerous seasons as an executive producer on Divorce Court. She was also an executive producer on Family Court With Judge Penny and The Tony Danza Show and a producer on The Jerry Springer Show.
A rep for 20th Century Fox, which produces Divorce Court, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
