'Jerry Springer,' Steve Wilkos' Shows Name New Co-EPs
The syndicated talk shows have both promoted existing producers.
Two veteran conflict talk shows syndicated by NBC Universal have promoted existing producers to higher leadership posts.
Selina Santos has been named co-executive producer of The Steve Wilkos Show and Kerry Smith has been named co-executive producer of the long running The Jerry Springer Show, according to an announcement Monday from Rachelle Wilkos, executive producer for both programs.
“Selina and Kerry are two of the most creative, intuitive and talented producers in daytime television” said Wilkos.
Santos had been the supervising producer of The Steve Wilkos Show, since the show premiered in 2007. Previously, she was the senior producer of The Jerry Springer Show for four years, and a xoordinating producer for four years.
Smith previously was Springer’s supervising producer since 2008. She started on Springer in 1999 as an associate producer and was promoted to producer in less than a year. She held that position until she was promoted to senior producer in 2007.
Springer has now been on the air for 21 seasons.
