'Jersey Shore' Finale: What the Viewers Are Saying

The MTV reality show ended its fourth season Thursday night with the cast preparing to leave Italy and return stateside for Season 5.
MTV's Jersey Shore came to a close Thursday, Oct. 20, marking the end of Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Pauly "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Sammi Giancola, Deena Cortese, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley and Nicole "Snooki" Pollzzi's time in Italy.

After the finale, which saw the cast members prepping for their return to New Jersey and their shore house, viewers took to Twitter to discuss the season.

Rebecca was moved to poetry, tweeting, "Me without you is like Pepsi without cans. Pedophiles without vans.Jersey Shore without tans."
“Jersey shore tonight, u dont understand how excited this chicka right here is,” said user nedabahrami.

“I use any excuse to quote Jersey Shore,” said Jessie Harris.
But many Twitterers seemed to be over the series.

“This should be the last season of Jersey Shore....it doesn't have the hype & excitement like before,” said someone calling themselves Hulk Hogan.
“Oh It's Time For The Season Finale Of The Boring Season Of Jersey Shore,” said Jaslene.
“Why has this season of jersey shore been so WEAK,” echoed chillAF.
Monsieur Olufemi sniped, “I don't get it. Wtf is interesting about jersey shore? Why would anyone be interested? Am I missing something?”
“Jersey shore is irellevant, that show isn't even funny / good anymore the shore cast are just immature,” wrote Ryan Lopes.
Even comedian Andy Borowitz got into the fray, saying, “Gaddafi may be gone, but Jersey Shore is still on the air. #buzzkill.”
For his part, The Situation was already looking forward, tweeting a preview to Season 5 “because we are coming back to Jersey!” he exclaimed.
