JWOWW’s Future Husband: 'I Just Want a Simple Wedding'
For their upcoming nuptials, Roger Mathews hopes to balance simplicity with the “Jersey Shore” reality star’s plans for a Vegas spectacle, and shares why he’s happy the series is finally over.
Well-planned weddings result from endless decisions, and Jersey Shore’s Jenni “JWOWW” Farley has yet to set a date, select a venue or nail down any of the details for her big day. Thankfully, she’s already practically finalized the evening’s dinner menu.
“Italian food, sushi, all of it!” she told The Hollywood Reporter at a recent event. The reality star also foresees a guest list of close to 500 people, and a reception deejayed by Jersey Shore housemate Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio. Regarding location, she isn’t sure which Sin City hotel chapel will accommodate their plans to tie the knot with Roger Mathews: “Whoever will take us!”
Though the wedding already sounds elaborate, her fiancé asserted that the details are still up in the air.
“I just want a simple wedding,” said Mathews. “We’re keeping our minds wide open. Jenni definitely wants a destination wedding, she wants Vegas -- I’m not opposed to that, I can definitely handle that. As far as anything else, we don’t have anything planned, we don’t know.”

Inevitably, whatever happens in Vegas may be open to all Jersey Shore fans, as JWOWW told Wetpaint that she wouldn’t mind airing next year’s ceremony and reception in an MTV wedding special. She also dished to People StyleWatch about recruiting her former female roommates as bridesmaids and scouting for her dream dress.
“I want the dress to be strapless but ballgown, because I want a very tight corset but I know I want like a huge, huge train -- very poofy, very pretty,” she said. “And my favorite color is pink, like the pink diamonds in my ring, so I want pink involved. But then I don’t want to, you know, piss Roger off, having the wedding pink.”
Mathews proposed to JWOWW during a skydiving session earlier this year, and the couple kept their engagement under wraps until just last month. They currently live together in New Jersey and plan on settling down there after the wedding – and the Jersey Shore series altogether.
“I’ve always supported Jenni and her career 100 percent,” he told THR. “I wouldn’t say that I’m relieved [that the show is ending] -- it’s kind of sad to see it go -- but I mean, it certainly will give us more personal time, so that’s definitely a bonus.”

And though JWOWW’s fellow cast members Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola have each expressed their wishes to continue frequenting the Shore once the show is over, Mathews says otherwise for himself and his fiancée. “I think we’re gonna hang up our party hat after this is over.”
Besides, with a Perfect Tan bikini line, a self-titled perfume, an Australian tanning line and a handful of product endorsements, JWOWW will have her hands full once the series officially ends. Yet she admits that falling in love with Mathews remains the ultimate unexpected surprise.
“That was the best part of doing the show," said JWOWW. “It changed my life forever.”
