Both shows, expected to bow some time in 2012, center on the trio's lives away from Jersey Shore.
MTV exec Chris Linn told THR in an interview the same day the pickups were announced, that the spinoffs will not dilute the franchise. "I think it allows us to expand out from the base of Jersey Shore without taking away from what Jersey Shore is. They would continue to be involved in any potential future cycles of Jersey Shore," Linn reassured at the time.
Jersey Shore is MTV's top-rated series of all-time; its third season averaged a 7.7 rating in the persons 12-34 demographic, up drastically from the first two seasons.
