The kidnap thriller movie is bankrolled by Pinewood Pictures and is being touted to buyers worldwide by Mimi Steinbauer's Radiant Films International.
LONDON -- Ashley Walters (Get Rich or Die Tryin') has joined Jim Gillespie's kidnapping thriller Take Down, which has begun shooting on location in Wales and the Isle of Man.
He joins a cast that includes Jeremy Sumpter (Friday Night Lights), Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Phoebe Tonkin (The Vampire Diaries), Sebastian Koch (The Lives Of Others), Dominic Sherwood (Not Fade Away), Julia Ragnarsson (The Bridge), Max Deacon (Summer in February) and Elliot Knight (BBC's By Any Means).
Directed by Gillespie (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and written by Alexander Ignon (Ransom), Take Down focuses on the reckless sons and daughters of international billionaires.
Sent by their frustrated parents to an exclusive tough-love boot camp to be taught basic survival skills in the hopes it will teach them to take responsibility for their lives, they are taken hostage and held for ransom, invoking the sudden need to use their brief training to survive.
Take Down is a Pinewood Pictures production with Sarah Ryan Black (Restoration) and Ed Elbert (Anna and the King) producing and Steve Christian (Belle), Stefan Brunner (Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengance) and Jamie Brown (Belly Of The Beast) exec producing.
