Jimmy Fallon Performs "Tender" with Blur (Video)

Damon Albarn and co. got by with a little help from Jimmy Fallon on guitar and backing vocals, and a gospel choir.

Blur is back, and they’re making the most of their return to the spotlight.

The British fourpiece appeared overnight on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for an unplugged, backstage performance of “Tender,” the classic ballad lifted from Blur’s 1999 album 13. Damon Albarn and co. got by with a little help from Jimmy Fallon on guitar and backing vocals, and a gospel choir.

Blur’s new album The Magic Whip is the leader on this week’s U.K. albums chart. Its the Britpop legends’ first studio set since 2003’s Think Tank, and the first as the classic line-up (Albarn, Graham Coxon, Dave Rowntree and Alex James) since 13.

In other Blur news, the group has shared a 30-minute documentary on the making-of The Magic Whip. The video carries exclusive interviews and studio footage shot by the band, and can be seen below.
