Jimmy Kimmel Introduces 'Trump on a Stump,' an Alternative to 'Elf on the Shelf'
Worried that kids don't take the elf seriously anymore, Kimmel suggests a new product that he hopes "will make your kids behave bigly."
Jimmy Kimmel has a feeling The Elf on the Shelf has lost its power over kids around Christmastime.
So, to help parents around the country, the late-night host introduced a new product on Friday's Jimmy Kimmel Live!: Trump on a Stump.
"It's been around for a while now, and I worry that it's starting to lose its gravitas," he said of the elf. "So this year, we came up with a new product that I hope will make your kids behave bigly."
The Elf on the Shelf is supposed to stand guard in a child's home, reporting to Santa when he or she misbehaves, encouraging good behavior around the holidays. Trump on a Stump, according to Kimmel's faux ad, will watch over kids and make sure they behave: "You never know where he'll pop up next."
"He doesn't report to Santa; he reports directly to the Pentagon," said the sketch. "So when your child misbehaves, special analysts alert border patrol who immediately have him deported."
"Make your holidays great again with Trump on a Stump."
