Joachim Kosack Replaces Andreas Bartl as Head of German Channel Sat.1
Network is the German home of "Navy CIS," "Hawaii Five-0."
BERLIN - Joachim Kosack will take over from Andreas Bartl as the sole head of German commercial channel Sat.1 next month.
The two were co-MDs of the Berlin-based network but Bartl is stepping down from the post as of October. Bartl will remain head of television operations at Sat.1 parent company, ProSiebenSat.1.
Sat.1 is coming off a strong summer. Its schedule of U.S. crime series, including Havaii Five-0, The Mentalist and Navy CIS helped grow Sat.1's audience in its core 14-49 demographic, where the channel's market share jumped nearly 1 percent in August to 10.8 percent.
