Joan Rivers: NYPD No Longer Investigating Death
The comedienne died on Sept. 4
The New York Police Department is no longer investigating Joan Rivers' death, a police source tells The Hollywood Reporter.
"The NYPD was looking at it" as a matter of protocol, the police source says. "As of now, we are not currently investigating."
Rivers passed away Sept. 4 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. A week earlier, she had gone in for a procedure on her throat when complications arose; then she was admitted to Mt. Sinai. As a matter of procedure, police had looked into her death.
On Friday, the New York State Department of Health said it was investigating her hospitalization at Yorkville Endoscopy.
