'Jodhaa Akbar' wins five at Filmfare Awards

'Slumdog Millionaire' kids pick up special honor

NEW DELHI -- Ashutosh Gowariker's historical epic "Jodhaa Akbar" won five awards including best film, director and actor, for Hrithik Roshan, at the Filmfare Awards on Saturday night.

Priyanka Chopra was named best actress for her turn as a model in "Fashion." Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman won best music director for the romantic comedy "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" (Maybe You Know, Maybe You Don't) and best background score for "Jodhaa Akbar."

The child actors of "Slumdog Millionaire" were given a special award by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.

Organized by leading film magazine Filmfare, the star-studded ceremony was hosted by actors Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan.
