Joe Riccitelli Named EVP/GM of RCA Records
In his new position, the industry veteran will oversee music licensing and brand partnership in addition to spearheading pop promotions for the label.
Joe Riccitelli has been named executive vice president/GM of RCA Records, the label announced on Wednesday. He was previously EVP, Promotion, RCA Records.
In his new position, Riccitelli will now oversee the Music Licensing and Brand Partnership departments as well as continue to spearhead all aspects of pop promotion for the label.
RCA president and COO Tom Corson, to whom Riccitelli reports, said of the promotion: “Joe has done such a tremendous job leading the way to success for many of our superstar and developing artists. Now is the time to widen his portfolio within the company and contribute his leadership to our licensing and brand partnership efforts on behalf of our unparalleled artist roster."
Riccitelli began his career at Polygram Records in 1985 where he was svp, promotion, Island Label Group from 1995-1999. He joined Jive Records in February 1999 with the same title and held that position until 2007 when he was named evp of promotion. In 2011, he was appointed evp, promotion for RCA Records, which was then newly re-launched. Most recently, Riccitelli has led his team to secure hit records for P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys and Ke$ha and continues to support the label’s developing acts Miguel and Walk The Moon.

Riccitelli will continue to work out of RCA's New York office.
