Joel Silver's Assistant Found Dead in Bora Bora
The producer and several colleagues were vacationing on the island.
Carmel Musgrove, an assistant for Joel Silver, was discovered dead on Thursday, a rep for the producer confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. No cause of death was disclosed.
Silver, Musgrove and several colleagues were vacationing on the island of Bora Bora at the time of the passing. The 28-year-old woman was found dead by authorities on the island, according to a local news outlet, Tahiti Infos.
"Joel Silver, his family and his staff are devastated by the passing of Carmel Musgrove. Carmel was a dear friend and respected colleague with a very bright future ahead of her. They will all miss her dearly," the Silver rep said in a statement.
Musgroves' credited work includes stints as an associate producer on Sean Penn's The Gunman and on Liam Neeson's Non-Stop, produced by Silver Pictures.
