Joel Silver's Chef Exits for WME Commissary
This story first appeared in the May 16 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine.
WME sent its lobby-level Beverly Hills office neighbor cafe Walter's packing three months ago to make room for an agency commissary that now is scheduled to open in June. (Walter's since has landed on South Beverly Drive.)
Leading it is WME's new chef Spencer Gray, an NYU film school grad who has cooked for producer Joel Silver. THR has learned that Gray was tapped after health-conscious WME co-head Ari Emanuel taste-tested his work at several Silver events.
The agency declined to comment.
