THR beefs up for sales, digital

The Hollywood Reporter has made four hires in its digital and advertising departments.

Annie Turkel has been named director of digital sales. The 15-year sales veteran will oversee brand-specific digital sales and sponsorship opportunities within the industry and consumer segments.

Matt Wilkinson has joined THR as director of television and consumer advertising. The U.K. native, formerly of OK! Magazine, will be responsible for integrated sales for television and consumer.

Nikki Hamedani has been named senior digital marketing manager at THR. She worked at technology-driven advertising services company Spot Runner.

John Marchesini arrives as digital project manager for the entertainment group of Nielsen Business Media. He worked on the ABC.com redesign and the network's Music Lounge project.

Turkel and Wilkinson report to THR publisher Eric Mika. Hamedani and Marchesini report to THR director of market development Alex Boyce.
