Johnny Depp Plays Donald Trump in Faux 'Art of the Deal' Movie
The comedy project has an all-star cast, which includes Ron Howard, Alfred Molina, Robert Morse and Patton Oswalt, to name a few.
A day after soundly winning the New Hampshire primary, Donald Trump got his very own movie of the week — kind of — in which he is played by Johnny Depp.
The popular comedy website Funny or Die began streaming a 50-minute, faux film based on Trump's best-selling book, The Art of the Deal.
The only thing bigger than Depp playing the part of the GOP presidential hopeful is the fact that the project was kept a secret until it premiered.
The Art of the Deal has an all-star cast, which includes Alfred Molina, Robert Morse, Patton Oswalt, Jacob Tremblay, Jack McBrayer, Michaela Watkins, Henry Winkler, Stephen Merchant and Christopher Lloyd, to name some.
The movie opens with Ron Howard, playing himself, explaining that the made-for-TV movie never aired as intended in 1988 because it was preempted by Monday Night Football. Howard jokingly explains the film was recently rediscovered at a garage sale in Arizona.
With the exact look and feel of an 80s TV movie, the film even has a theme song written by Kenny Loggins.
