'Johnny Mad Dog' triumphs at 2Morrow

'Titov Veles,' 'Everybody Dies' also take home awards

KIEV, Ukraine -- The French/Belgian/Liberian co-production "Johnny Mad Dog," Jean-Stephane Sauvaire's horrifying look at the cruelty in the Liberian civil war, was awarded the main prize of the second edition of the 2Morrow festival of contemporary cinema Tuesday in Moscow.

"I Am From Titov Veles" by Teona Strugar Mitevska -- co-produced by Macedonia, Slovenia, Belgium and France -- took the festival's top animation prize, while the ensemble cast in "Everybody Dies but Me," by first-time feature director Valeria Gai Germanica of Russia, won for best acting.
