Jon Feltheimer to be honored at MIPCOM
Lionsgate CEO named Personality of the YearPARIS -- After bringing the world back to 1960s New York with hit series "Mad Men," co-chairman and CEO of Lionsgate Jon Feltheimer will head to 21st century Cannes to be honored as MIPCOM 2010 Personality of the Year, organizers REED Midem said Wednesday.
Feltheimer will be recognized for his leadership and creative work developing award-winning shows including global hit "Mad Men." Feltheimer will be honored with a special ceremony during the annual MIPCOM Gala dinner on Oct. 5th.
Feltheimer will also give a keynote speech as part of MIPCOM's "Madia Mastermind" presentations series which will highlight his vision for the future of the entertainment industry.
"I am honored to receive this award from MIPCOM and to be recognized in the company of so many of the pillars of the global entertainment community," Feltheimer said of the honor.
Feltheimer has been CEO of Lionsgate since March 2000 following a nine-year run at Sony Pictures where he worked on popular shows like "Mad About You," "The Nanny," "Dawsons Creek" and "Party of Five."
The MIPCOM market runs Oct. 4 – 8 in Cannes.
