Jon M. Chu is reteaming with Lionsgate to direct Now You See Me 3, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Chu signing to return to capture the magical antics of the Four Horsemen comes ahead of Now You See Me 2 getting set to hit theaters on June 10.
The Now You See Me sequel, also directed by Chu, will feature returning stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman, with Lizzy Caplan replacing Isla Fisher as a Horse(wo)man.
Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer a year ago signaled Now You See Me 3 was in the works at the studio. He predicted then that the box office gross for Now You See Me 2 would exceed the $351.7 million worldwide take for the original movie about magicians who perform heists.
The third installment for the Summit Entertainment hit movie franchise is produced by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Bobby Cohen.
