Jon Penn upped to CEO FME Asia Pacific

FremantleMedia Australia continues search for a CEO

SYDNEY -- Jon Penn has been promoted to CEO of FremantleMedia Enterprises, Asia Pacific, one of the region's biggest TV formats groups. He was previously its senior vice president of licensing.

He reports to FME Global CEO David Ellender and will remain based in Sydney.

FME's business covers TV distribution, home entertainment, consumer products, interactive (online and mobile) sponsorship and live events, based on Fremantle media TV and third party properties. Its portfolio includes the "Got Talent" and "Idol" franchises, "Masterchef Australia," "The Biggest Loser Australia," "Project Runway," "Neighbours" and "Farmer Wants a Wife."

FremantleMedia Australia, the company's Oz production arm, continues its search for a CEO. Current CEO Mark Fennessy and COO Carl Fenessy will leave FremantleMedia Australia early in 2010 to join Elisabeth Murdoch's TV Group Shine as it expands into production "Down Under."
