Jon Stewart Gives Seth Rollins a Low Blow on WWE's 'Monday Night Raw' (Video)
"How could I make a fool out of a man dressed like a SWAT team stripper with Lady Gaga's hair?"
Jon Stewart may have stepped down as Daily Show host, but he might be able to consider wrestling as his new profession.
On Monday, the political satirist entered the wrestling ring to put an end to his ongoing feud with professional wrestler and WWE star Seth Rollins.
Earlier in February, Rollins had declared he could take over as Daily Show host when Stewart retired and "make that thing actually watchable." Stewart fired back in a video message to the WWE star, saying "Seth Rollins, you made a lot of mistakes in your life ... but this is the biggest mistake you've ever made, by coming after The Daily Show. I'm coming for you, Rollins! And you're gonna see it — 160 pounds of dynamite."
Following up on his word, the late-night host met Rollins in the ring for WWE's Monday Night Raw, where the wrestler hosted a mock Daily Show set.
"Let's begin with our first topic of the evening," Rollins began. "Where is Jon Stewart? ... He obviously decided not to show up tonight, just like all of America didn't show up to the movie he directed last year." Rollins made jabs at Stewart's hosting gig at the Oscars and his directorial debut with Rosewater before the host himself appeared on the scene.
"Once again, Seth Rollins hosting The Daily Show — given something he did not earn," Stewart said. "How could I make a fool out of a man dressed like a SWAT team stripper with Lady Gaga's hair? I'm not here to do that! ... You may be stronger than me, you may be better looking than me, you may be taller than me, you may be able to lift your arms above your shoulders — which I used to be able to do but can't — but let me tell you this: I have something you'll never have, and that's respect."
Upon being backed into a corner by an enraged Rollins and his entourage, Stewart made his way out the only way he could — by delivering a low blow. Watch the full video below.
