Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth to Costar in 'Hunger Games’

Hutcherson is cast in the role of Peeta Mellark; Hemsworth to play Gale Hawthorne.
Lionsgate announced that Josh Hutcherson has been cast in the role of Peeta Mellark, with Liam Hemsworth joining the film in the role of Gale Hawthorne in the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ worldwide smash hit novel, The Hunger Games.
Both actors will star opposite Jennifer Lawrence, who will play heroine Katniss Everdeen. THR previously reported the two were in the running. Gary Ross is directing the project, which is being produced by Nina Jacobson and her Color Force banner. Shooting begins next month, with the movie due out March 23, 2012.share
