Juliette Lewis, Callum Keith Rennie Join NBC's 'The Firm'
David Straiton is on board to direct the Josh Lucas pilot, with Helen Shaver joining the project as a producer-director.
Juliette Lewis and Callum Keith Rennie have joined NBC's mid-season legal drama, The Firm, adapted from John Grisham's best-selling novel.
The project, which was granted a post-football spot on Sundays, was ordered straight to series with 22 episodes produced by eOne Television in association with Sony Pictures Television's Networks Group and Paramount Pictures. (Paramount, which produced the 1993 film of the same name starring Tom Cruise, owns the rights to the book.)

Lewis (Natural Born Killer, Cape Fear) and Rennie (The Killing, Californication) join film star Josh Lucas, who signed on to play attorney Mitchell McDeere last month.
The two-hour pilot script, written by Lukas Reiter, picks up a decade after the movie left off, with McDeere having just emerged from the Federal Witness Protection Program after bringing down a Memphis law firm operated by the mafia. Reiter had developed the project at CBS three years earlier, but has since rewritten the script. Grisham and Reiter will executive produce with eOne’s John Morayniss, Noreen Halpern and Michael Rosenberg.
David Straiton (House, Fringe) is on board to direct the pilot episode, which will shoot in Toronto in August. Helen Shaver (Judging Amy, Law & Order: SVU) has also joined the drama as producer and will direct several episodes.
Lewis is repped by Paradigm and Troika; Rennie is repped by APA.
