Juliette Lewis Changes Her Lana Del Rey Tune, Calls the Singer 'Fresh and Yummy'

After dissing the newcomer's "Saturday Night Live" performance in a tweet, the actress says she woke up singing one of Del Rey's songs the next day.
Juliette Lewis did not mince words upon seeing newcomer Lana Del Rey's debut performance on Saturday Night Live. Shortly after the show's east coast broadcast aired, the actress-singer, who currently stars in NBC's midseason offering The Firm, took to Twitter, writing: "Wow watching this ‘singer’ on SNL is like watching a 12 yearold [sic] in their bedroom when theyre pretending to sing and perform #signofourtimes.”
The tweet was later deleted, but there was no stopping the public outcry of defenders on both sides -- some viewers, including Eliza Dushku and Brian Williams, were horrified by what they qualified to be an amateur performance, others chalked it up to nerves and were more forgiving.
But the morning after firing off the Del Rey diss, it seems Lewis had changed her tune. "I woke up singing a @LanaDelRey song!," she tweeted on Jan. 15. "Such great haunting melodies! Regardless of my own taste LIVE she's a #FreshandYummy songwriter.Period"
Lewis also replied to a follower who encouraged her to check out Del Rey's forthcoming debut album Born to Die (due out Jan 31 on Interscope), writing, "I like what I've heard so far."
Del Rey's Twitter has been relatively quiet since her Jan. 14 SNL appearance.
