Paul Blackthorne has joined the cast of NBC's midseason series "Lipstick Jungle," playing the husband of Brooke Shields' character.

"Lipstick," from Universal Media Studios, stars Shields, Lindsay Price and Kim Raver as trio of successful professional women in New York. Shields plays a movie studio president and a harried wife and mother of three. Blackthorne will play her husband, a regular role that was recast. Chris Wiehl played the part in the pilot.

Blackthorne, who most recently played the lead on Sci Fi Channel's "The Dresden Files," is recurring on ABC's new drama "Big Shots." He is repped by SDB Partners, Seven Summits and attorney Dale De La Torre.
