Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande Manager Scooter Braun Marries Yael Cohen in Canada
It may not have been Independence Day this weekend in Whistler, British Columbia, but there sure were fireworks. Hollywood music exec and Justin Bieber’s longtime talent manager Scooter Braun and cancer activist Yael Cohen exchanged vows July 5 before a star-studded crowd.
The pair began dating in spring 2013 and ambiguously announced their engagement via social media in January.
Bieber serenaded the happy couple down the aisle with a rendering of The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love.” He was joined by fellow pop star and friend Carly Rae Jepsen for a duet of her hit “Call Me Maybe” during the reception.
Through his label, School Boy Records, Braun represents some of pop’s biggest stars including Beiber, Jepsen, Ariana Grande and The Wanted. He also fronts Raymond-Braun Media Group, a co-venture with Usher. Last month, he announced The Creative Studio, a “next-generation content studio” with British advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty.
Cohen is a noted health advocate, philanthropist and social entrepreneur known for her organization F—k Cancer, which she started after her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. The organization, which primarily targets millennials, endorses research for early cancer detection, preventative lifestyles and increasing communication about cancer and its prevention.
It was a star-studded soiree, including appearances by Tom Hanks, Sophia Bush, Rita Wilson and, of course, Bieber.
