Style Notes: GQ "Forgives" Justin Bieber; Lyst and Uber to Deliver NYFW Gift Bags
Pre-NYFW madness style news.
Justin Bieber said he was "Sorry," and GQ has responded with a message of forgiveness. The magazine revealed The Biebs as its March cover star (marking the first time he's ever landed the cover spot), with the headline, "Let Us Forgive Justin Bieber." The singer, who sported some baby whiskers in the Eric Ray Davidson-lensed shot, opened up to GQ about his wild "younger" days, but notes that he wouldn't necessarily change anything if he could. "I think it’s all my journey," he said. "That stuff made me who I am.” [GQ]
E-commerce site Lyst and Uber have partnered for a gift-bag delivery promotion for NYFW. The free (!) bags will be available to Uber riders in Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. By typing "FINDNYFW" in the promotional codes box, riders will be given the opportunity to win based on a lottery system. The bags, which are customized by neighborhood, feature a $200 Theory gift card and beauty kit from Violet Grey as well as select goodies from Theory, Alexis Bittar, Edie Parker, Maiyet and Jonathan Simkhai. For those not in Manhattan, Uber and Lyst will be giving away two customized Edie Parker Flavia clutches as well as a gift bag to two "global" winners. [WWD]
Kanye West previewed the official Yeezy Season 3 invites on Twitter, sharing a video of what looks to be a t-shirt getting vacuum-sealed. The short clip leaves us with more questions than answers, including why there is a quesadilla menu in the background. 'Ye also tweeted that Michael Jordan declined his show invitation, a photo of the seating chart and asked his followers, "Please no one text me or ask me for anything until Monday." Perhaps he's working on another album title? [Twitter]
