Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lawrence Among Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards Nominees

Nickelodeon announced the nominees for the network’s 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards on Wednesday. Kids across the globe have voted for their favorites in television, sports, music and film to select the nominees, and beginning Thursday, Feb. 14, kids will vote again to determine who will win the orange blimp trophies in 22 categories.

Among the actors, athletes, and musicians vying for a blimp in the various categories are Adele, Justin Bieber, Robert Downey Jr., Victoria Justice, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, One Direction, Michael Phelps, Taylor Swift, and Venus and Serena Williams.
Aside from classic categories like Favorite TV Show, Favorite Movie Actress, and Favorite Singing Group, the KCA’s have become known for unique awards including Favorite Buttkicker and Favorite Villain -- a new category this year, alongside the addition of Favorite App.
As far as TV shows, movies, and songs that are nominated, the list includes iCarly and Wizards of Waverly Place, movies The Avengers and The Hunger Games, and viral sensations “Call Me Maybe” and “Gangnam Style.”

Kids can vote through a variety of social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, and Nick.com. They can also log on before and during the show to watch all the Orange Carpet action and backstage interviews. This year, voting will span over six continents and feature certain country-specific awards.
Nickelodeon’s 26th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, hosted by Josh Duhamel, airs live Saturday, March 23, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
