Justin Bieber on Selena Gomez Split: 'I Don't Even Know What's Going on in My Life' (Audio)
The singer appeared to be caught off guard when asked about the couple's reported breakup, stumbling over his words.
The Internet has been on fire all weekend with news of Justin Bieber's reported breakup with Selena Gomez, but the pop singer still seemed to be caught off guard in an interview he gave hours after the first reports surfaced.
Talking to Open House Party on Saturday, Bieber, 18, was asked about the reported split by the show's host. While he neither confirmed nor denied it, he stumbled over his words, and things got a little awkward.

When asked about the split, he replied: "All right. ... I don't know what to say. I don't know really, even, know what's even going on in my life. To even assess that it doesn't make sense because I have not made any comment."
When the host said he was moving on to another topic, Bieber responded: "That would make sense."
Still, the singer laughed when the host quipped that Bieber could use the breakup as fodder for a song a la Taylor Swift. (Listen to a portion of the interview below.)
E! News first reported the breakup Friday night, citing an anonymous source. Several other media outlets have since reported the news as well, citing their own sources.

According to People, Gomez, 20, broke up with Bieber after time spent apart led to "trust issues."
The two have been dating since February 2011, when they arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar party together, confirming months of media speculation that they were an item.
