Justin Bieber's Grandparents Flip SUV in Ontario

TORONTO - Justin Bieber’s grandparents escaped serious injury after flipping their SUV on a wintry road near Stratford, Ontario on Tuesday.

The news of the major car accident involving Bruce and Diane Dale first filtered out Tuesday via the Twitter account of Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette.

“My parents got into a car accident today. They flipped into a ditch & totaled the car but thank God they are alive! My dad has broken ribs. Plz pray 4 him 4 quick healing! Count your blessings & forgive ur parents always. U never know what tomorrow holds!!!" she tweeted.

Kees Wijnands, an Ontario Provincial Police spokesman in Perth County told the CBC News website that Bieber's grandparents were back home and resting after Ontario sustained its first major blast of winter.

"To us, it's not news," Wijnands said.

"I didn't even include it on my daily media release. But I guess it's news to everyone else,” he added.

Bieber passed through his hometown of Stratford, Ontario over Christmas after performing a charity fund-raising concert in Toronto at the historic Massey Hall.
