UPDATED: The social-media protest was a hoax organized by an Atlanta radio station, reported CNN on Monday. The neighbor that the cable news network had interviewed over the weekend was Tim Andrews, a local radio station host, who stated his wife started the page as a joke.

ORIGINAL POST: Justin Bieber's relocation to an Atlanta suburb is only a rumor at this time, but his potential neighbors are preempting the move with a planned protest.

Residents in Buckhead -- a wealthier district listed as a 15-minute drive from downtown Atlanta -- have organized a Facebook event that urges homeowners to protest at 6 a.m. on Monday. "As a community here in Buckhead, we have worked hard to achieve our goals and get to where we are. Justin Bieber's relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children, as well as the community," reads the page.

The event is planned by a group called the Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition, which joined Facebook on Feb. 19 and hasn't posted any other neighborhood news other than notes and articles about the pop singer.

The protest was organized by the wife of resident Harold White, who spoke about the plans to CNN. "It is our position that a person with his means could certainly find a neighborhood more suited to his 'eclectic' lifestyle," White told the cable news network.

The Believe singer currently resides in the suburb of Calabasas, Calif., where he has faced legal trouble after allegedly egging a neighbor's house and reportedly speeding while driving in the neighborhood. Bieber was also charged with a DUI in Miami Beach on Jan. 23 and later pleaded not guilty to the charge.
