In the new issue of Interview, Justin Timberlake says it's a different experience to be playing music on stage than to be acting behind the camera. "I actually find it liberating to give up control," he says while interviewing Amanda Seyfried, his costar in the upcoming thriller Now. "It’s nice for me. "What’s been more of a challenge for me throughout the process of moving into acting is that I feel like I have to keep reassuring people that I’m not an asshole," he adds. At that point, the two laugh. "There is a stigma that comes from being on stage and being a musician," says Timberlake, who will present at the Academy Awards Feb. 27. "What's wrong with being an asshole?" Seyfried asks, prompting Timberlake to reply: "Oh, right. Yeah, well, it’s a shitty job."
