Justin Timberlake Challenged to Dance-Off By His Date at Marine Corps Ball
Cpl. Kelsey de Santis is inviting the singer-actor to show off his moves at Saturday evening’s event.
Justin Timberlake, get ready to put on the dancing shoes.
The singer-actor, who was invited to the Marine Corps Ball in Washington D.C. in July after his Friends With Benefits co-star Mila Kunis accepted an invitation, is being challenged to a dance-off at Saturday’s dance by his date Cpl. Kelsey de Santis.
“My friends keep saying, ‘Dance-off!’ They know about my skills,” de Santis told Access Hollywood. “I honestly don’t think he’ll be able to keep up with my group of people.”
She revealed that she had several “signature moves,” and one of them included The Dougie. When asked whether a kiss may be in the plans, de Santis said, "Of course I'm single! I don't know [if a kiss will happen]. I guess that's all up to JT and what his plans are."
At a press conference earlier this year, Timberlake was asked whether he would accept an invitation from de Santis extended through a YouTube video.
“If my schedule works out to do it, I’d love to do it,” he said at the time. “It’s an honor.”
In the original video, de Santis said, “If you can’t go, all I have to say is ‘Cry Me a River,’ “ citing one of Timberlake’s songs from his Justified album.
Timberlake joked that he wouldn’t accept her invitation because she “shouted out one of my songs,” adding that he rarely “gets asked out.”
Kunis accepted a YouTube invitation from Sgt. Scott Moore to attend the Marine Corps Ball in North Carolina. “I am attending. I’m going. Nov. 18, I will be there,” she said earlier this year after rumors spread that she wasn’t moving forward with the date.
