He’s got that sunshine in his pocket. And later this month, Justin Timberlake will have the Teen Choice Decade Award in his hands.
The former *NSYNC singer will accept the top honor at this year’s awards ceremony in recognition of his “constant evolution as an artist over the last 10 years,” event organizers announced Thursday.
The presentation of Timberlake’s Decade Award coincides with the 10-year anniversary of his multi-platinum album FutureSex/LoveSounds, which produced a string of hits including “SexyBack” and "My Love."
Timberlake has always enjoyed a strong connection with the Teen Choice Awards and its viewers. The pop superstar has won a total of 22 Teen Choice Awards, the most ever by a male. His trophy room already includes nine Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, 10 Billboard Music Awards and four Emmy Awards.
Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik are up for three Teen Choice Awards each. The show is set to air Sunday, July 31, at 8 p.m ET/PT on Fox.
