"[Small's] reputation in the industry and track record for success are exactly the qualities that we are looking for in our executives as we expand our company," King says.

Kahli Small, most recently a high level production exec at Focus Feature, has joined Graham King's GK Films as executive vp of production and development.

Small will be based out of GK Films¹ Santa Monica offices and report directly to King.

Small spent the last seven years at Focus, rising from vp of production to senior vp to exec vp, production and development. While at Focus, she supervised projects ranging from Milk, directed by Gus Van Sant, to David Cronenberg¹s Eastern Promises to The American starring George Clooney.

"[Small's] reputation in the industry and track record for success are exactly the qualities that we are looking for in our executives as we expand our company," King said in a statement.

Before joining Focus, Small was an independent producer, production exec at MGM, and worked at Key Entertainment.

GK Films was mostly recently involved in Paramount¹s animated film Rango, and last year produced the Ben Affleck-directed thriller The Town as well as The Tourist, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.
