Karen Mok signs with CAA
EmptyKaren Mok, one of Asia's most successful actresses, has signed with CAA for representation.
Mok, also a recording star, has appeared in more than 40 films, including Stephen Chow's "Shaolin Soccer," one of the highest-grossing films in Hong Kong's history, and "Fallen Angels," for which she was honored with a Hong Kong Film Award for best supporting actress. Other credits include Disney's "Around the World in 80 Days" opposite Jackie Chan, "Black Mask" with Jet Li and Chow's "The God of Cookery."
The actress, who is fluent in five languages, recently completed filming on "Youth" for director Zhang Yibai and will next star in director Ekachai Uekrongtham's English-language thriller "The Coffin." Mok most notably was the female lead in the 10th anniversary Asian tour of the Broadway musical "Rent."
On the music front, Mok has released 11 albums, with her most recent, "Live Is Karen Mok," marking her debut as a producer.
